As the title suggests, I plan on using processing.js for the bulk of the design. Processing.js will allow me to program the bulk of the visualization in the Processing language, a format I’m very comfortable with. I imagine my biggest issues will arise when trying to connect my Processing code to the underlying data (either the SQL database or an API – possibly both!). But, as they say on the website “whatever you can do with the web, you can do with processing.js.”
For the unaware, Processing is an open source language developed by Ben Fry and Casey Reas, made specifically for visual designers. Check out more at processing.org.
